PV: Thanks businessman – artist Binh Minh for joining the interview. Before owning the GAC All-New M8, what cars did you have?

Previously, I had the opportunity to own and experience many car brands, including Kia, Peugeot, Audi, and Hyundai. Most of them were large SUVs, but now I have switched to an MPV due to my changing needs.

PV: What made you choose the GAC All-New M8 for your golf trips instead of other MPVs, especially since GAC is still a young brand in Vietnam?

My family and I chose the GAC All-New M8 for very practical reasons.

We are a family of four adults, so we need a spacious car for travel and vacations. For work, I often travel with a team of 6-7 people, and when I go to tournaments with my golf team, I need a large MPV with full amenities. Compared to other models in the same segment, I found the GAC All-New M8 to be larger and longer and more convenience.

PV: Apart from the spacious interior, was the renowned Japanese transmission system of the GAC All-New M8 a decisive factor in your purchase?

I have only one word for the GAC All-New M8’s engine—”powerful.” The car is equipped with a 2.0L Turbo gasoline engine with fourth-generation direct fuel injection technology from GAC, delivering a maximum output of 248 horsepower and a peak torque of 400 Nm. It provides impressive acceleration and smooth operation, whether driving in the city with my family or on long highway trips for business or golf tournaments.

PV: The GAC All-New M8 has received a lot of praise for its luxurious and high-tech interior, making it a great choice for celebrities and entrepreneurs. What are your thoughts on this as a supermodel, actor, and “golf course owner”?

At first, I was overwhelmed by the stunning exterior of the GAC All-New M8. But as I researched more, I learned that GAC has nearly 20 years of experience collaborating with Toyota and Honda, especially their chassis platform. That gave me confidence in the product’s core value.

So, the two main reasons why I became a brand ambassador for GAC were the brand’s reputation and the product quality. If you look into the GAC M8, you can see it’s widely used in the Middle East. The automobile market offers many brands and models, and each person has their own preferences.

PV: While the car may seem impressive, long trips often reveal both strengths and weaknesses. What are your thoughts on the GAC All-New M8 after using it for golf trips?

I frequently take my team on golf trips to places like Nha Trang, Da Lat, Vung Tau, and Phan Thiet. Traveling in an unreliable car would be extremely risky for both myself and my passengers.

I understand the quality of the GAC All-New M8 better than anyone because I both drive it and experience its second-row luxury seats.

I’ve driven it at speeds of up to 120 km/h on the Da Lat highway and felt a high level of stability. Even when cornering at 70-80 km/h, the car remained steady without swaying.

Another highlight is that the GAC All-New M8 is packed with driver-assistance technologies. While driving to Nha Trang and Can Tho, I tested the ADAS system, which automatically adjusts speed based on the car ahead and smoothly activates the auto-braking system. I personally experienced it and found it outstanding, surpassing other vehicles in its class. At night, ADAS enables the GAC All-New M8 to scan the surroundings and notify the driver of motorcycles, cars, or trucks, allowing for better throttle control. Meanwhile, sitting in the rear seats feels as comfortable and luxurious as a private jet.

PV: If you had to choose a car again primarily for golf trips, would you still pick the GAC All-New M8?

Musician Huy Tuấn (my friend) has been interested in the GAC All-New M8 after seeing me drive it for a while. He’s noticed more of them on the road recently. Next week, I’ve arranged for him to test-drive it since he’s also looking for an MPV for his family and golf outings—exactly the same reason I chose the GAC All-New M8 in the first place.

PV: Did all these great features of the GAC All-New M8 influence your decision to become its brand ambassador?

It was a perfect match! The GAC M8 was a sponsor for the hole-in-one competition organized by Vietnamnet, connecting the golfing community. Through this event, I had the chance to meet GAC’s General Director, and we became close while playing golf together. After the gala event, GAC wanted to promote the M8’s image within the community and came up with the idea of inviting me to be their brand ambassador in Vietnam. Since I was already impressed with the car, I happily agreed.
