Vietnamese customers seek harmony in design with the GAC GS8
Truong Hoang Anh, the founder of the fashion brand Veneta Bespoke, found harmony in the modern design of the GS8 SUV, offering him a unique style choice.
PV: As the founder of a high-end fashion brand, what are your key criteria when choosing a car?
To me, a car isn’t just a mode of transport – it’s a “statement of image.” I always seek a balance between aesthetics, driving feel, and real-world utility. The vehicle must reflect my personal taste – powerful, refined, understated yet exuding class. Just like a tailored suit, the car I choose convey my identity and lifestyle.

PV: The GAC GS8 is an SUV from a relatively new brand in Vietnam. What caught your attention and led you to choose this model?
Precisely because GAC is new, it brings a fresh perspective. I’m drawn to originality and uniqueness. When I first saw the GS8, it stood out from anything else in its segment. The boxy, masculine design combined with cutting-edge technology made it clear that this is a thoughtfully developed product with long-term vision. Its low visibility in Vietnam is actually a plus for me – I always prefer something no one else has, as long as it’s good.
PV: As someone in the bespoke fashion industry – where individuality and fine-tuning are key – do you think the GAC GS8 GT is a fitting choice for someone who values uniqueness over trends?
Absolutely. To me, the GS8 GT is like a truly bespoke suit. It has a solid foundation, a bold design, and numerous details that users can explore and personalize. From its exterior form to its interior touches, it suits those who value individuality and prefer not to blend in.
PV: In terms of vehicle design, what aspects of the GS8 align with your aesthetic principles in suit tailoring?
I appreciate clean cuts, defined lines, and balanced proportions – much like the lapel shape or shoulder structure in a suit. The GS8’s square front, large grille, and broad stance feel like a proper three-layer Italian suit: sharp, elegant, and substantial. The design language and finish quality show serious investment and respect for the user.
PV: When you first saw the GS8, what exterior detail made a lasting impression and convinced you to go for it?
The headlamp – modern, yet with a mechanical, masculine feel. The overall body is long, wide, and angular – like a perfectly tailored blazer. The sense of sturdiness and independence drew me in at first sight.

PV: After driving the GS8 for business trips and client meetings, how would you describe its performance and interior comfort?
It feels solid, stable, and smooth—completely dispelling any assumptions about ‘cheap’ Chinese cars. The engine runs effortlessly, and the suspension performs well on long-distance drives. The cabin is quiet, with strong and fast-acting air conditioning. This makes it easy for me to relax or even work while on the move—an invaluable advantage for someone creative and constantly on the go.

PV: Many people remain skeptical about Chinese vehicles. As someone who experienced it firsthand, what would you share to help shift that perception?
I understand that skepticism, but real experience is the best answer. Driving the GS8, I clearly felt the quality and technology investment. As someone who appreciates great products, I don’t care where it’s made – as long as it meets my expectations in function, finish, and emotional connection. GAC impressed me on all three points. I’ve always been a pioneer in trying new things, and the GS8 hasn’t let me down.
PV: If you could customize the GAC GS8 to match your personal style, what combination of colors, materials, and features would you choose to reflect the VENETA founder spirit?
I’d go with camel leather interior stitched with Bordeaux red thread – a rich, European tone. For the exterior, I’d choose matte navy or charcoal black for exterior color with 21-inch wheels for a strong stance. I’d also add fully power-adjustable rear seats and mood-based ambient lighting – much like choosing linings or buttons for a custom suit.
PV: How do you evaluate the service at the GAC dealership?
I took my car for the scheduled 5,000 km maintenance at the GAC Bac Ninh dealership. I am quite satisfied with GAC’s service, from the reception, vehicle inspection, to the staff’s consultation. I highly appreciate the clarity, punctuality, and dedication of the technical team. When choosing a car, besides the design or driving experience, I also pay a lot of attention to after-sales service. GAC is doing quite well in this regard.
