As one of the first customers in the Hanoi area to own the All-New M8, Mr. Le Van An made a deliberate decision not to follow the mainstream MPV choices, driven by specific expectations and personal experience.

Reporter (R): Hello Mr. Le Van An! Thank you for taking the time to speak with us. Could you briefly introduce yourself and share why you chose the GAC All-New M8 as your companion vehicle?

Mr. Le Van An:
Hello! My name is Le Van An. I am currently the Chairman of APG Son Group Joint Stock Company, based in Hanoi. As someone who travels frequently, I need a vehicle that is both versatile for business purposes and comfortable for personal use such as visiting my hometown or going golfing — activities I regularly do.

Previously, I owned several large SUVs such as the Land Cruiser and Escalade. This time, however, I was looking for an MPV that could deliver a different experience — not only in terms of practicality, but also in ride comfort and visual appeal. After researching and experiencing the vehicle firsthand, I realized that the mid-spec M8 (2.0T GT Master) truly stood out and matched my needs very well.

R: What aspects of the vehicle impressed you the most?

Mr. Le Van An:
First of all, the exterior design. I was particularly impressed by the large, bold front grille, which creates a powerful and premium presence. The boxy and masculine rear design is another highlight that I really appreciate.

Next is the interior. The leather seats are very comfortable, and the craftsmanship and stitching details are well-finished and refined.

During the test drive, I immediately noticed how smooth and effortless the car felt in urban driving — which is extremely important for daily use. In the rear seats, I especially value the generous space and deep seat recline, which provide maximum comfort, especially on long journeys.

R: How did your purchasing decision come about?

Mr. Le Van An:
I test-drove the vehicle twice before making the final decision. The first time was at a test drive event in My Dinh after I came across information on GAC Motor Vietnam’s Facebook page. The initial impression was very positive, but I still wanted more time to evaluate.

The second test drive was at the GAC dealership in Bac Ninh. After this real-world experience, my wife and I decided to sign the purchase contract in less than 24 hours. For me, this decision was not only based on driving feel, but also on the overall value the vehicle offers, as it meets nearly all of my usage requirements.

R: After five months of ownership, how well has the vehicle met your expectations?

Mr. Le Van An:
I can confidently say that the GAC All-New M8 has performed very well in my daily life. On average, I drive about 2,000 kilometers per month, mainly on highways, trips back to my hometown, and golf outings. Every journey has been comfortable — from the smooth power delivery to the convenience features.

This comes from the fact that I often drive the car myself rather than sitting in the second row. Even my golf friends have expressed some regret that they did not learn about this model earlier.

I am also quite satisfied with the fuel consumption. For a large MPV, a full tank costing around VND 1.3 million allows me to travel approximately 700–800 kilometers on mixed routes including highways and urban roads. Considering the level of technology and comfort the vehicle offers, this figure feels well-balanced.

In terms of aftersales service, I have brought the car to the GAC Bac Ninh dealership twice for scheduled maintenance. Each visit took less than one hour — fast, convenient and professional, with minimal waiting time. I am satisfied with the service quality.

Honestly, if the price becomes even more competitive, this model will certainly attract an even larger customer base.

R: As someone who has owned and experienced many vehicles, what advice would you give to customers who are considering a new car?

Mr. Le Van An:
I believe customers should carefully balance personal needs with product value. With the GAC All-New M8, I see it as a very strong contender in the MPV segment. Smart consumption is becoming increasingly popular today, and ultimately, buyers themselves should take the initiative in making well-informed purchase decisions.

R: Some consumers still have concerns about the origin of this vehicle. What is your view on this?

Mr. Le Van An:
I understand Chinese products quite well. If you make the right choice — as I did with the M8 — you can own a vehicle that satisfies not only yourself but also your family.
